ICL Implants

Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction Surgery

Having a blocked tear duct means that your tears don’t drain from your eye properly, resulting in watery eyes and tears streaming down your face throughout the day. Although it’s not usually anything serious, it can be bothersome and interfere with your basic day-to-day activities.

Floppy Eyelid Syndrome Surgery

The eyelid is supported with a middle layer called the tarsus, which gives the eyelid its rigidity. When the tarsus starts to lose this rigidity and become more bendable and flexible, the eyelid starts to be floppy.

Corneal Abrasion Surgery

A scratched eye is a usual term we use for what eye specialists call a superficial corneal abrasion or corneal laceration. Patients with this eye injury typically make up around 10% of all new visits to the ophthalmic emergency care, and although it’s minor, the injury can cause significant discomfort. Mr Radwan Almousa, one of our top consultant ophthalmologist based in London, explains what a corneal abrasion is exactly, what the usual causes are and walks us through the typical treatment plan that an ophthalmologist would offer.

Corneal Disease Surgery

Corneal disease surgery encompasses various procedures aimed at treating conditions affecting the cornea, the clear, dome-shaped surface at the front of the eye. These surgeries are designed to restore vision and alleviate symptoms caused by corneal diseases or damage. Here’s an overview of the types of surgeries commonly performed for corneal diseases:

Corneal Graft Surgery

Corneal graft surgery known as corneal transplantation or keratoplasty, is a procedure where a damaged or diseased cornea is replaced with a healthy donor cornea. This surgery is often considered when other treatments for corneal issues, like medication or contact lenses, are not effective.

SMILE Laser Eye Surgery and Precaution

Are you considering laser eye surgery to correct your near-sightedness? As well as LASIK and LASEK, there is also the option for a laser procedure called SMILE. Small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) is a femtosecond laser-assisted refractive procedure for the treatment of short-sightedness (myopia) and blurry vision (astigmatism). Here, one of our expert ophthalmologists Mr Radwan Almousa explains how it works and just how precise that the procedure is.
